A moderator cue card for time limits, off-topic detours, interruptions and an optional pass, within agreed facilitation rules. This is a written practice result, not a recorded AI run.

Make a start
One step at a time.
2 steps
Start with the synthetic worked example or other non-sensitive inputs. Run one prompt at a time in your chosen AI tool. Replace any bracketed placeholders with the requested material, check each reply, and supply the source or earlier outputs that step needs. Paste them again if the tool lacks that context.
Start with the synthetic example, then adapt each prompt to your task.
01
Try the complete example
Open a text AI chat you already have permission to use. Paste the whole prompt below, from TASK through END INPUT, and send it. The input is source material; do not paste the illustrative Output as an answer to imitate. Expect A moderator cue card for time limits, off-topic detours, interruptions and an optional pass, within agreed facilitation rules. If you receive advice instead of the result, ask for the complete requested result from the supplied input. Check it yourself: Count four scenarios with two lines each; match S1 to time, S2 to one speaker, S3 to the exact topic and S4 to passing. Read every line aloud: it should name a rule or redirect without diagnosing, shaming or demanding an explanation. No line threatens removal or promises an action outside the moderator’s authority. If a check fails, quote the mismatch and its source in this chat and ask for a complete corrected replacement before saving.
Your starting prompt
TASK
Write the complete moderator cue card, with one brief intervention and one follow-on invitation for each supplied scenario. Match only the agreed rules and topic, preserve no-explanation passing, and keep authority limits explicit. Do not invent motives, sanctions or participant reactions.
INPUT
Fictional adult zine discussion. Topic: how page order changes the reader’s experience. Agreed rules: two-minute turns, one speaker at a time, anyone may pass without explaining, moderator may redirect to the topic. Moderator has no authority to remove people or impose sanctions. Ordinary low-stakes facilitation only; no emergency or serious conflict intervention.
Prepare one short spoken intervention plus one follow-on invitation for each scenario: S1 a turn reaches two minutes; S2 one person interrupts another; S3 a sales pitch moves off the supplied topic; S4 someone declines to speak. Do not diagnose motives, shame someone, demand disclosure, invent sanctions or promise a guaranteed response. Lines are proposals to rehearse, not a record of a moderated event.
END INPUT
02
Use your own source instead
Open a new chat and copy the prompt below. Replace every bracketed field with your own permitted non-sensitive material, or write unknown. Change the source names, counts, dates and rules together wherever they occur. Expect a complete result using those new values. Compare each source link and calculation with your new input, using the review instructions in this prompt. If a fact or rule is wrong, quote the mismatch and source and ask for a complete corrected replacement; keep essential unknowns held rather than borrowing the practice values.
Your starting prompt
Write a moderator cue card for my ordinary adult-group scenarios, topic and agreed rules. For each scenario provide one concise intervention and one optional follow-on invitation. Refer to observable behavior and supplied rules, preserve no-explanation passing and stay inside the moderator’s stated authority. Do not diagnose motives, shame people, invent sanctions or guarantee reactions. Review every line against the exact rule it uses and read it aloud before real use. Derive scenario count and limits from MY INPUT; keep emergency or serious-conflict situations outside this low-stakes script.
MY INPUT
Adult discussion purpose: [replace with your source or rule]
Agreed participation and time rules: [replace with your source or rule]
Moderator authority: [replace with your source or rule]
Scenarios: [replace with your source or rule]
Tone: [replace with your source or rule]
Escalation boundary: [replace with your source or rule]
Use only MY INPUT for facts, quantities, names, dates and permissions. Ask for missing essential facts or conflicting rules instead of guessing. Creative invention is allowed only where this task and my boundaries permit it. Return the actual complete requested result, a separate unknown/hold list and the source-specific review described above. Do not reuse practice-example facts. Keep this a draft; do not publish, contact people, book, buy or change another service.
Optional: improve the result
Make the cues easier to scan
Optional, sample-only extension. Return to the practice chat, or paste this guide’s complete practice input and your checked answer into a new chat. Shorten the card without removing its permissions. This does not apply unchanged to your own source.
Advanced prompt
For the sample only, reduce each intervention to at most 14 whitespace-separated words. Keep all four follow-on invitations and every authority/pass boundary. Return the full card and intervention word counts. If the complete sample input or answer is missing, ask me to paste it. Keep new variants separate from the original result.

ILLUSTRATIVE AUTHORED OUTPUT
Written for this guide; no consumer AI execution or real-world trial is claimed.
MODERATOR CUE CARD
S1 — Two-minute turn reached
Intervention: “That is our two-minute turn. Let’s pause there.”
Follow-on: “Who would like the next turn? Passing is fine.”
S2 — Interruption
Intervention: “One voice at a time, please. Let the current speaker finish their turn.”
Follow-on: “You can respond when that turn ends, if you would like.”
S3 — Off-topic sales pitch
Intervention: “I’m bringing us back to how page order changes the reader’s experience.”
Follow-on: “Is there an example about page order you would like to share?”
S4 — Someone declines
Intervention: “Of course. You can pass without explaining.”
Follow-on: “Anyone else who would like a turn?”
USE AND LIMIT
Read the line that fits the observable situation, then leave room for a response. Do not infer why a person interrupted, went off topic or passed. S2 offers a later turn, not permission to interrupt again. These lines use only agreed procedural authority; no removal, punishment or mandatory disclosure is added. Read them aloud to check that the tone sounds natural for the group. No role-play or live moderation has occurred.
These checks use the worked example and its particular facts. With your own material, check your actual names, numbers, sources and rules; do not reuse the sample’s values as the answer.
Unsaved checks stay in this tab and reset when you reload. If you choose Save guide, its current example checkmarks are kept in this browser when storage is available.
!
A few things to watch for.
Polite wording can still pressure someone to disclose. A pass should not trigger “why?”
A cue card for ordinary discussion is not a plan for serious conflict or emergencies. Do not invent authority the host lacks.
