What you’re working towards
A requirement-by-requirement coverage table and a minimal missing-shot list grounded in actual image files. The worked example uses clearly labeled original synthetic still-life renders.
Original synthetic 3D still-life teaching image; not a photograph or a real product.
Make a start
One step at a time.
3 steps
Start with the synthetic worked example or other non-sensitive inputs. Run one prompt at a time in your chosen AI tool. Replace any bracketed placeholders with the requested material, check each reply, and supply the source or earlier outputs that step needs. Paste them again if the tool lacks that context.
Start with the synthetic example, then adapt each prompt to your task.
01
Open the images and try the brief
Download the four source PNGs below and open each in your image viewer. They are synthetic teaching renders, not real photographs. Start a new chat in an assistant you already have permission to use that accepts and inspects images. Upload all four PNGs with the exact IDs in the prompt; confirm all four attachments are present. If uploads or inspection are unavailable, stop this route rather than pasting captions as a substitute. Paste the complete prompt below and send it. Expect a table for the four requirements, an account of each image and the smallest missing-shot list. The worked Output is for checking afterward, not text to paste.
Your starting prompt
Inspect the four actual attached images using the complete brief below. First list which IDs you can actually inspect; keep any inaccessible image unknown. Then produce the full requested coverage review using visible evidence only. Do not infer an image from its filename, and do not claim a camera session, new photo or consumer-AI test was recorded.
SAMPLE INPUT
ORIGINAL SYNTHETIC IMAGE EXERCISE
The four supplied PNGs are original 3D still-life renders of one plain unbranded box, made for this guide. They are not photographs, captured camera output or images of a real product. No people, private locations or outside images are used. The task is to inspect their actual visible contents against a written coverage brief. Filenames and descriptions alone are not evidence that a view exists.
IMAGE IDS
P1 = coverage-box-p1.png
P2 = coverage-box-p2.png
P3 = coverage-box-p3.png
P4 = coverage-box-p4.png
All four are 1200 × 900 pixels. Upload/open all four actual files for the exercise. If you cannot inspect a file, mark its coverage unknown and do not infer its contents from the filename.
COVERAGE BRIEF
R1. At least one whole closed-box view. Every outside box edge must be inside the image with visible background margin; a cropped detail does not count.
R2. At least one view of the outside underside of the box. A view into an open box is not its outside underside.
R3. At least one close-up of the front folded flap/crease. The fold detail must be visibly identifiable and span at least half the image width. A tiny visible fold in a whole-box view is insufficient.
R4. At least one whole closed-box view with an empty right third for later layout. Here empty means no part of the box, other object or text in image columns 800–1199. A plain backdrop and its gentle lighting gradient are allowed. This does not establish text contrast or final layout quality.
A single image may satisfy more than one requirement. Do not assume each image or requirement has exactly one partner. Do not judge hidden surfaces, actual material, ownership, sharpness or print quality from these renders.
REQUEST
Inspect each actual image. Return one row for every requirement with image IDs, visible evidence, covered/missing/unknown decision and any ambiguity. Also account for every image, explaining which requirements it supports or why it is not enough. Give the smallest missing-shot list under this brief; retain unknowns instead of calling unseen material missing. This is a written image-coverage review, not a new image, actual photo shoot or consumer AI execution receipt.
02
Check every match in the actual pictures
Open P1–P4 yourself beside the response. Check each requirement rather than accepting a confident summary. Open all four actual PNGs and match each file to its ID; no filename or caption substitutes for seeing it. R1 can use P1 and P4; R3 uses the actual close-up P3; R4 uses P4. P2 shows the interior, not the underside. R2 is missing from this complete four-file set, so the proposed missing-shot list has one item. An inaccessible image must instead stay unknown. Inspect P4 columns 800–1199 for no box/object/text; a plain lighting gradient is permitted by this brief. Keep material, sharpness and text-contrast claims out. If a decision differs, identify the requirement and image ID, describe the visible mismatch, and ask for a corrected complete table. Reopen the unchanged image and recheck the correction yourself. Do not ask it to invent a missing view. Save the reviewed table in a separate note, preserving the originals.
Your starting prompt
Audit the coverage table against the same complete brief and four actual images in this chat. If any original is unavailable, ask for it again and keep the affected conclusion unknown. Verify whole-object margins, closed versus open, outside underside versus interior, close-up size and the empty-right-third rule. Account for every requirement and every image; allow one image to cover multiple requirements. Return a corrected complete table and missing-shot list if needed. Do not generate images, invent hidden views or replace human visual checking.
03
Use your own images and shot list
Open a new chat. Use only images you own or have permission to share, with no private locations, personal identifiers or sensitive material. Give each file a unique ID, upload the actual images, and replace every bracketed field below. Change related names, source IDs, image counts and visible acceptance rules together. Keep filenames neutral; the image must supply the evidence. Check each result by opening your original image and applying your own brief. If a decision differs, identify the requirement and image ID, describe the visible mismatch, and ask for a corrected complete table. Reopen the unchanged image and recheck the correction yourself. Do not ask it to invent a missing view. Save only the table you have checked; this task does not take or publish photographs.
Your starting prompt
Review my actual supplied images against MY BRIEF. First state which image IDs are available for inspection. Produce a row for every requirement with supporting image IDs, visible evidence and covered/missing/unknown status. Account for every supplied image separately; one image may support multiple requirements. Distinguish an unseen or obscured detail from a detail confirmed absent in the complete inspected set. Propose only the missing shots justified by my stated brief. Ask for missing acceptance rules instead of making them up.
MY IMAGE SET
[Paste the complete ID-to-filename list and attach those actual authorized non-sensitive images. State which files are the full set; identify any missing upload.]
MY BRIEF
[Paste each required view and its visible acceptance rules, including any framing, scale, blank-area or identification requirements.]
MY LIMITS
[State what cannot be inferred, any obscured details, the uncertainty policy and safe/authorized limits for a later reshoot.]
Use only these files and rules, not the sample filenames or answers. Do not infer hidden surfaces, quality, ownership, identity or physical properties from a caption. Do not send, publish, photograph, generate images or alter the original files. If actual image inspection is unavailable, stop this route and leave the review incomplete.
Optional: improve the result
Update coverage only when a new image exists
Keep the original sample table. This optional extension needs an actual additional authorized image, not a proposed filename. Upload the new file with a new ID and provide the original four images, complete brief and checked table if starting a new chat. No additional view or reshoot is supplied with this example.
Advanced prompt
Using the original complete brief, original image set and checked coverage table, inspect the actual newly attached image. If it cannot be inspected, ask for it and leave coverage unchanged. Add its new ID without replacing or renaming earlier images. Explain exactly which requirement, if any, gains visible support; preserve every other supported decision and remaining uncertainty. Do not assume the proposed missing shot was actually captured merely because a file was added. Return a versioned updated table with the changed rows identified.

Authored coverage example based on direct inspection of the supplied synthetic PNGs; not a recorded consumer-AI response.
Requirement | Supporting images | Decision | Visible basis
R1 whole closed box | P1, P4 | covered | Both show the closed lid and the whole box inside the frame with background margins. P2 is open. P3 crops the box and cannot satisfy a whole-object requirement.
R2 outside underside | none | missing in this four-image set | P1/P4 show the closed box from above; P2 shows the open interior from above, not its outside underside; P3 shows the front fold. No supplied image shows the underside. This says nothing about other images outside the supplied set.
R3 front-fold close-up | P3 | covered | The front folded flap and horizontal crease fill more than half the image width. The visible folds in the wider P1/P2/P4 views are smaller and do not meet this particular close-up rule.
R4 whole closed box plus empty right third | P4 | covered | The whole closed box is at the left. Columns 800–1199 contain plain backdrop without the box, another object or text. P1 extends into that right-third region; P2 is open; P3 is cropped.
Image accounting
P1: supports R1. It does not show the underside, is not the specified fold close-up, and its box occupies part of the right third.
P2: shows a whole open box and its interior. It establishes none of R1–R4 under this exact brief; retain it as supplied evidence, but do not relabel its interior base as an underside.
P3: supports R3 only. The image is intentionally a cropped front detail, not a whole-box view.
P4: supports R1 and R4. It does not show the underside or the required close-up detail.
Minimum missing-shot request: one clear view of the outside underside, with its identity linked to the same box. No extra whole-box or fold image is needed for this supplied brief. This is a proposed shot, not an image that exists or a completed camera session. No unknown remains in these four inspected files under the stated requirements; a file that cannot be opened would change the affected decision to unknown, not establish absence.
Human review: open each original image, match the actual visible view to each row, and check the whole-box margins, close-up scale and empty-right-third boundary yourself. A technical image-quality, physical-material, print or final typography assessment has not been performed.
These checks use the worked example and its particular facts. With your own material, check your actual names, numbers, sources and rules; do not reuse the sample’s values as the answer.
Unsaved checks stay in this tab and reset when you reload. If you choose Save guide, its current example checkmarks are kept in this browser when storage is available.
!
A few things to watch for.
A filename saying underside cannot prove that the underside is visible. Inspect the image.
Do not call an unavailable or obscured image a missing shot; mark its contribution unknown.
A coverage match is not evidence of photo quality, print readiness or product characteristics.
